Shrouded in mystery since the feverish diamond rush of the early 1900s, the scenic splendours of the coastal Namib Desert from Lüderitz to Walvis Bay  can  now  be explored on the invigorating six -day Treasure Trail. This intriguing stretch of coastline in the wilderness section of the Namib - Naukluft   Park   is   Driving
now open to limited tourism, enabling you to drive your vehicle  through  4x4  terrain  that  will  test  your  driving

skills to the utmost. You will  visit places  with  evocative  names  like  Silvia Hill, Spencer Bay, the Oyster Cliffs, Meob Bay, Charlottental and Sandwich Harbour; along the way you will encounter the rusting remains of ships, ox-wagons and trucks; you will lose track of time amongst derelict dwellings and disintegrating mining paraphernalia that resonate with   the   dreams   and   aspirations  of  the   diamond
Driving   diggers and fortune hunters of the past, and you will leave transported by the romance and mystique of this tantalisingly beautiful desert wonderland.
